Sansom Park was originally platted as Broad View Acres, filled in with families moving out from Fort Worth and River Oaks looking for cheaper land, and became its own independent village in 1949 — a name it kept until reincorporating as the City of Sansom Park in 2000. The housing that resulted is what you'd expect from that timeline: a base of quaint ranch-style homes from the 1950s and 60s, with newer infill, including Habitat for Humanity builds, mixed in more recently.
